The company continues to invest for the future in both fleet and premises, aiming to provide gold medal standard storage and distribution for all products going to the London 2012 games. QTR acquired additional premises next door to the company’s existing site on Trafford Road late last year. As a result, further warehousing capacity, offices and a new covered loading area have now been operational for some months, achieving significant improvements in efficiency in terms of turnaround times for vehicle loading.Fleet investment includes the acquisition of eight Renault 6x2 tractor units, all of which are Euro 5 compliant ready for the changes in the Greater London Low Emissions Zone requirements, scheduled for implementation in January 2012.“London 2012 is already providing significant opportunities for our business,” stated Managing Director Paul White. “We aim to ensure we provide levels of quality and performance to match the levels of excellence we all hope to see at the Games!”
